the astroscan
5335-s is a compact, lightweight and ergonomic conveyor X-ray scanner
designed to inspect briefcases, purses, backpacks, mailbags, trays
and parcels.
the astroscan 5335-s is designed and developed for the screening
of small parcels for mailrooms, prisons, courthouses, government
buildings, schools, hospitals and corporate offices.
the tunnel opening of 21” x 14” (533 x 356 mm) was
specifically designed to accommodate the majority of parcels to
be easily examined. the system uses a high-resolution X-Ray detector
array for improved image presentation and increased automatic
threat detection.
the astroscan 5335-s is a pc based system that incorporates latest
electronic technology in an enhanced modular design. The unit
utilizes a high speed computer that implements advanced complex
algorithms in real-time operation

astroscan x-ray systems are certified to be in full compliance
with all international radiation safety requirements and external
emissions limits. Typical leakage radiation is less than 0.1 mR/hr
compared to a maximum of 0.5 mR/hr permitted. all astroscan units
are issued with a certified radiation safety and critical examination
report upon installation.
