Mini-Z

Mini-Z Backscatter X-Ray System

The Mini-Z handheld backscatter X-ray system is a compact, single-sided x-ray imager that can be used to scan objects in hard to reach areas. Its small size allows for the effective screening of a wide variety of items such as suspicious bags and parcels, walls, furniture, small boats, aircraft, vehicle tyres, and car interiors.

The Mini-Z backscatter X-ray system provides effective detection of organic threats, contraband, and explosives, making it the perfect tool for public safety, customs and border enforcement, and security officials.

The Mini-Z system produces a real-time image of the scan target, highlighting organic materials that transmission X-ray systems can miss, such as explosives, currency, and drugs.

Unlike density meters, trace detectors, or portable transmission X-ray systems, the Mini-Z system uses backscatter X-rays to produce an easy-to-interpret image to quickly locate organic contraband in voids and behind shielding (non-metallic and metallic).

Mini-Z is self-contained and does not require set-up: enabling immediate and fast operation. As an operator scans a target, an image appears in real-time on the system’s dedicated tablet.

Please note this product is only available through Scanna to UK approved end users. We do not export the Mini-Z.
