Scanna to launch ScanX Scout Mk2 Integrated with UK-Developed ScanView X Software

Scanna will introduce the ScanX Scout Mk2 portable CR X-ray system, fully integrated with its new UK-developed ScanView X imaging software, at the Security & Policing Exhibition, Farnborough, 10-12 March 2026

The ScanX Scout is a globally proven CR X-ray processor platform, with the Mk2 model now enhanced with HD imaging of up to 10 lp/mm resolution, scan times of under 30 seconds, and a more robust, battery powered, field-ready design suited to demanding defence and counter-IED operations.

Scanna integrates the Scout Mk2 into its wider portable X-ray ecosystem, delivering a complete operational capability for EOD, military and specialist security users worldwide either as a standalone system or part of a dual technology x-ray solution alongside Scanna's ScanSilc DR X-ray panels.

ScanX Scout Mk2 uses reusable, flexible digital imaging plates ranging from 24 cm to 130 cm long, configurable for mission-specific tasks. Using our FlexRay mounting system, multiple plates can be combined to create mosaics covering over 1m² in a single exposure — enabling rapid inspection of vehicles, aircraft structures, vessels, cargo and complex threat devices while reducing operator exposure time.

With no electronics or cables in the imaging plates, operators achieve true ground-level imaging with zero dead zones, ensuring full coverage in high-risk scenarios.

At the core of the system is ScanView X, Scanna’s sovereign UK-developed X-ray imaging software platform. Designed for portable CR, DR systems and cabinet X-ray units, ScanView X provides:
